Yesterdays Accidents!

On my way back home from office yesterday, at approx. 6pm, I witnessed three separate accidents at the 3rd Mile flyover *gasp* which involved 5 vehicles (afaics) and 1 lamp post. Uh. That was scary. I had involved in a minor accident myself way back in 2004. I think they call it Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (is it that bad?). I have problem with people speeding on the road (unless when I myself is at the driver's seat hahaha). I think my boyfriend is having a hard time driving with me saying "slow down!" every 5 seconds even when he's driving at 60kmph (lols).

To sum it all, I hate to see accidents, the sound of ambulance emergency sirens and urghh seeing blood splattered on the road! Yesterday's sight was bad enough! Please be careful on the road and no speeding unless you're an ambulance driver.

DAIM according to Wikipedia:

The Daim bar (known prior to September 2005 as the Dime bar in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, when Kraft Foods rebranded it to bring the product in line with the rest of Europe) is a crunchy butter almond bar covered in milk chocolate that originated in Sweden in 1953, produced by the Swedish company Marabou, originally a subsidiary of the Norwegian company Freia. The Dime bar was created after years of research into a similar product produced by the American company Heath. Marabou's Vice President Lars Anderfelt asked to license the Heath product in the early 1950's, but Heath refused. However, they gave a list of the ingredients to Anderfeldt. After three years of tinkering the crunchy centre was perfected, and with the addition of the distinctive Marabou milk chocolate Daim was created. Just wanna wish a Happy New Year 2008 to all my fellow bloggers. Funny, this year none of my friends said anything about resolutions. I had mine though. But that doesn't matter anyway cos by the 3rd day of 2008, I have already cancelled off some my new year resolutions (yes I can!) reason being, some of them weren't REALISTIC enough =p

Few days to NY, I thought of these as resolutions. I was determined like what. Ceh.

Following a healthy course of diet everyday.
Going for regular walks in morning and evening.
Going for regular check ups with the doctor if any physical ailments exist.
Stop drinking alcohol.
Quit smoking.
Being more organized and disciplined at home and office.

Then by 3rd Jan, I found some of them to be very unrealistic. So:

Enchanted vs Stardust

VS.

I watched both Stardust and Enchanted lastweek and yesterday respectively. Love them both.. Charlie Cox and Patrick Dempsey are both hot hot hot (LOLS).. But anyhow.. Stardust was entertaining and Enchanted was enlightening.

Stardust was purely fantasy and about witchcraft too (Michelle Pfeiffer looks beautiful). As for Enchanted, it was a mix of fantasy (fairy tale) and reality.. Both speaks of the possibilty of finding your true love (which I think happens only in my fantasy).

And not all the things in fairy tales are possible in reality, but anyhow they lived happily ever after (as all fairy tales endings should be).

After all that, i think i'm giving Stardust and Enchanted both 4 out of 5 =)

Friends and Feelings

Hello world. It has been a while since I last posted anything in here.. The day started very good as usual I was in a very good mood for work.. (Late as usual too) LOLS.

That wasn't the problem though.. The problem is there is always some people out there who never care about other people's feelings, never have respect for other people regardless of those people's importance in their lives.. This is very inhuman (for me) because as all human are born with feelings..

The thing is, few hours ago, there is a friend who never seem to say anything good to me (I exaggerated a bit here..Hehe). A simple Hi how r u is good enuff. But no, this "funny" friend started it with sarcasm, like an insult. Maybe I'm overreacting but my other friend also agreed that it was some form of an insult. And this is not the first time. And also not the first person I know who behave this way.. I remember my brother once said to me. If you want to have a great day, make other ppl smile, give gifts, say thank you, be nice and your day will end with you going to bed smiling. That is very true. Why is it so hard to just be nice to people, make friends, make your friends laugh and make other people happy. It would really make your day.

To my friend(s) if you're reading this, (I'm not sure if you realize it's you that I'm talking about) but if you do, I want to apologize for after all these time that we've been friends, I still don't understand you.

To all the others, please be nice to other ppl, in terms of your daily language or actions. I never heard ppl die due to doing excessive kindness, anyway.

Work n Play

I am currently in Bintulu (thank God there is such thing as a wifi zone)..The journey started at 8am (plus plus, no minus) and we safely arrived at approx 6pm. Feeling weird in an unfamiliar place. Along the way I thought of the ppl I'd call as soon as I arrive..Frens, families, nightouts..But I changed my mind. Just want to be alone, relax, do my work and no play (shopping excluded =P)..

I'd be free tomorrow, whole day of online and shopping. I hope I won't get lost and won't bump into anyone I know. Maybe make a few calls and find a 'tourist' guide, jalan jalan cari makan under the sun, go shopping until patah kaki. Fuh. Sounds like fun. Having said that, I might change my mind again...and do shopping on e-bay instead (I'm not too keen about the 'sun' part) hehehe..

After The New Year

Yes, you heard it right. Gawai was the New Year for us Iban. And same old me. Now that i realize I haven't posted anything since before my birthday, i guess i have to pay for it don't I.

The Trip Back
I can't recall what it was that made us started the trip at 12noon. I wasn't doing anything that morning..or was I?Hm..But anyway noon it was. With aircond rosak and the radio was also no-use uwa u can imagine just how boring the whole trip was and I was driving all alone! Baby drove the other car. Arrived at rumahpanjai around 5pm. Luckily it only rained after I arrived. One good news, now handphones are pakai-able in the kampung, yeah, meaning to say, we are FINALLY civilized lols.

The Arrival
Nyum nyum the smell of Tuak was in the air. The longhouse decided not to celebrate Gawai this year, mom said. But with all the people already there, who can say what will the year's celebration be like.

The Forgotten Birthday
It wasn't until sis reminded mom that she laughed and wished me happy belated birthday. "How old r u this year baby? 27?". Mom, please.

The 31st
The New Year's Eve! I can't really recall what actually happened. I was one minute drinking mom's tuak and one minute sleeping, then every now and then peeking out the door out into the ruai to see who's already drunk (as usual it was the Tuai Rumah's wife lols).

Oh yes, how can I forget the tiring cooking hours! There were only three of us girls, me mom and sis and with visitors already coming, there were only me and sis left in the kitchen while mom was busy entertaining the visitors (and herself). Dad couldn't drink anymo (no alcohol please) so mom had to take charge. Sis was a very good cook, so everything was fast and simple. Most of the time, like any other longhouse celebrations, the visitors eat so little cos they were already drunk.

The Ai Pengayu
Ai Pengayu is still the same Tuak only it was what we call the one we drink at midnight of 31st which means New Year! We gather at the Ruai with our own bottle of Tuak for each family. Usually people only pour a tiny amount, just as a symbol. Becos normally we drink it at one go (one go langgak) while we silently make our personal new year's wish. But me brother was the one responsible for pouring the full glass of Tuak. I drank happily though, cos I always loved the taste of Tuak better than any other alcohol based drinks or whatever. So they we were, I think sis didn't even made any wish cos she concentrated too much on finishing the whole glass lols. I did made mine, and it's a secret. If it comes true I'll tell you *wink*

The First Day of Gawai
Woke up at 6am and there were already drunk ppl in the house. The rest of the day, you go figure.

The Rest Of Gawai
Like I said, it was sleeping, drinking, eating, then sleeping again, entertaining the guests, looked for mom/dad when their friends came etc.. I didn't sleep much, only had naps which were making me dizzier than I already was.

Trip Back To Kuching
No aircond, no radio, I arrived in Kuching safely anyway and I had a fun holiday. So that was "no Gawai celebration this year". Next time I know what to expect when mom say "the Longhouse decided to celebrate Gawai this year." I think I'll bring some friends from Kuching to help me in the kitchen. :)

My Thoughts on Relationships and Men!

(This is just a reminder that my birthday falls on the 29th hehehe..) Yes, I'll be 25, but one thing I realize, I'm coming to 25 years old of age and I still don't understand MEN and the many deadly potholes of relationships! I wonder how is it possible for a two entirely different species (ie. a man and a woman) to live under one roof for the rest of their lives! This is what I think about relationships and men in general.

1. MEN: I have learnt to accept that men are not women (obviously) so they don't normally say mushy mushy stuff (except the guilty ones)!

2. MEN: Men are men and the normal ones always always look at other girls! If your man doesn't, you can start to worry.

3. RELATIONSHIP NEEDS: A lot of fighting (say what you don't like out loud and start a fight then listen as both sides "really" spill out the hurtful truths)!

4. RELATIONSHIP ALSO NEEDS: A lot of hugging (I think a hug means more than a kiss *wink*)

5. LASTING RELATIONSHIP?: I have no idea. Learn from other lasting couples (observe and realize what your r'ship is lacking and try to improve).

6. HOW DO YOU KNOW HE's THE ONE?: Ask any married friends and they'll say "I dunno, u just know. U know...?" No, I don't know. Don't you think your exes were the one and they are now your exes? No, they are not The One at all. Or we just get married with the man we are involved with by the time we reach 28? (Reminds me of Delphine, a character in Women Like Us). I will never know.

And when I finally get married, when some lucky girl ask me the same "how do you know" question, I'm going to answer "I dunno, u just know. U know...?" Hahahaha (evil laugh).Let them suffer the same way I did!Revenge! No lah, my real answer would be:

Version 1 (If the curious girl is younger than 25): "I was 25 when I really thought about this seriously, and you're only 18 (or whatever number less than 25) so i think you'll find the answer sooner than I did."

Version 2 (If the curious "girl" is older than 25): "I was 25 when I really thought about this seriously, and you're already 28 (or whatever number more than 25) so i think you just have to marry any man you date by the end of this year."

I'm Back From Nowhere..

It has been a while since I last posted an entry here.. I've been away, so to speak, I was restraining myself from spending too much time on the Internet (from the office, that is). Thanks for all your comments and your visits, it's encouraging to see people coming to see my blog everyday, and yet, I disappoint most people who expected a new post in every other visit. But hey, here I am now. :)

I should start with why I was away .. I read an article in the local newspaper, one column which was "10 reasons that could get you fired" or something like that. One of the reasons was spending too much time on the Internet (in the office). I'm sure most of us ARE. That was what prompted me to relax and back off from the Internet world for a while. And plus my fav forum portal (rumahpanjai.com) is facing lots of problems right now and it seems that everytime I visit, it's always under construction.

Weddings and many more weddings .. Most of my uni friends, my cousin and even my fren's little sister are getting married!It seems that not everyone are infected with the career-comes-1st disease lols.My co-worker said "That's okay Sue, we're still young." And she's 4 years older than me, so I guess it's REALLY ok.. :)

Today is my brother Jake's birthday. I've lost count of how old he going to be is this year. The last time I checked he was 18 hahaha.. Nah, he's older than me. I don't know what to get him for present this year. Had a list but cancelled everything out.

cancelled t-shirts and anything with sizes from the list for not knowing his size anymore (he has become so unrecognizably BIG everytime I see him),
cancelled perfume from the list (his gf must have given him already, that's what she got for him last year too),
cancelled a brand new hp from the list as well (he uses N70, a model which is few hundred times better than mine, and I don't have the money to get him a handphone anyway),
cancelled books (the only thing he reads is the menu),
cancelled everything else for not having the money to post any present to him hahaha.

So have to say bro, I'm afraid there won't be any present for you this year. I'll get you one when you come home in June. Just hope I won't forget :p

Tattoo Healing Info For Me Fwens

This post is dedicated to all my friends who are into tattoing and all that, I have not find the courage to get one myself (eeeeee!) but I know it's not a simple task when it comes to taking care of a person after getting tattooed. He will be temporarily disables (OKU hahaha) for a few days or a week (depending on the size and position of the tattoo, that is). So here is an article about tattoo healing. This is as much as I know about tattoing though, click here to meet someone who has had a 1st hand experience.

During a tattoo the skin secretes fluid forming droplets on the surface. If the blood particles in the fluid dry on the surface they stick on the surface looking like little black specs. If allowed to remain they adhere strongly and other damaged cells and particles accumulate, they dry and begin scab formation. Scabbing prolongs the healing process because epithelial cells must grow beneath this heavy burden scab to seal the skin. Eventually though the skin will heal in spite of the obstacles created.

Presuming minimal physical damage to the skin, the speed of healing is related to the amount of moisture in the area. The three top rated healing ointments are Bacitracin Zinc, A & D Ointment and Petroleum. It is the petroleum in these products that produces the best healing speed because it makes the skin occlusive. Occlusive means neither water nor air can penetrate to the skin surface. The skin responds to an occlusive condition by providing moisture to the area internally providing the ultimate healing condition.

When a tattoo is just finished there is generally no oozing (exudate) and the surface is relatively dry (an indication that the procedure did not excessively damage the skin). When a petroleum product is applied (an occlusive condition is created) droplets of fluid will begin to appear because the body is producing exudate. Exudate is necessary to create an environment which stimulates rapid wound healing. By allowing the area to dry (which we should not), the beneficial cells are removed, cells dry, necrose and even serve as a bacteria medium. A wound maintained in a moist environment with exudate has a lower infection rate than a wound which is dry.

Because this mechanism of the body was not understood it was thought petroleum caused ink to leave the skin. Today we know this is not true. Three or four days is required for new epidermal cells to grow across the surface. Damaged cells will float on the top of the new cells until removed. Light amounts of petroleum or moisturizing lotions should be continued for another week but Bacitracin, if used, should not be used for more than 3 or 4 days. The constant application of antibacterials is not necessary to avoid infection. Antibacterial products actually interfere with the wound healing process.

An ideal procedure, immediately after the tattoo is finished, would include applying a petroleum based ointment and watching the area for oozing and droplet formation instead of bandaging and sending the client away. If the droplets that ooze to the surface are pink they should be dabbed off carefully, or the area lightly rubbed periodically to prevent platelet and dead cell buildup. Removing those little black specs as soon as they appear will speed subsequent healing. This should be repeated until no pink oozing is seen and the area is clear colored. Now the client has a good chance for fast healing. After this, the ointment should be applied heavily enough to look shiney. Too thin and the surface will dry and prolong healing. Ointment applying and plastic wrapping for the shower or sleeping for a few days will help protect the tattoo under adverse conditions.
Excessive exudate is not good for surrounding intact skin and should be blotted off.

Procedures that recommend immediate bandaging and being left on for hours and then the area washed, or washed every day are not conducive to speedy healing. This is not best practice.

Bandaging is necessary if the area may be irritated or exposed to foreign matter.

Washing interferes and prolongs healing but should be done if dead cells have accumulated on the surface. Allowing the tattoo to accumulate dead cells and other necrotic matter for 8 or 24 hours is counter-productive to healing speed and will then require washing to remove as much of the dead material as possible. Good tattoo technique will produce preliminary healing in 3-4 days and should not be attributed to any new miracle healing preparation we have discovered or been sold, but to the healing abilities of the skin, the good tattoo technique of minimal damage and good aftercare with a petroleum product.

There are plenty of promoters of "miracle" new healing preparations who want to separate you from your money.

Reactions to antibacterial ointments look like small pimples around the area of application in which case the ointment should be discontinued and a moisturizer applied until healed.

There are many different procedures followed for tattoo healing that have been used for years by different artists. Any one could be argued for based on individual testimony and experience: "their customers healed." The reason for the healing is often attributed to the wrong cause because there is no understanding of the healing process of the skin and what produces more ideal conditions for repair. The explanation above does not rule out any other favored procedure.

It should be kept in mind that it is the skin itself that does the work of repair, not the artists, and will repair itself, sooner or later, not because they are doing or using x, y or z, but in spite of the challenges they present to the skin. Thank Goodness for that.

MEXICO CITY - Mexican telecom magnate Carlos Slim has quietly overtaken investor Warren Buffett as the world's second-richest man and is close to wresting the top spot from Bill Gates, Forbes magazine reported Wednesday.

In the two months since Forbes calculated its 2007 wealth rankings, the 67-year-old Slim's fortune rose $4 billion to $53.1 billion, while Buffett's holdings slipped to $52.4 billion as of March 29.In an article on its Web site, Forbes attributed part of Slim's "amazing run" to a 15 percent increase in the stock price of Carso Global Telecom, part of a larger rally in Mexican stocks. Slim's America Movil cell phone company also soared on news of a possible acquisition of Telecom Italia.

In the 2007 rankings released March 8 — but prepared almost a month earlier — Forbes had listed Slim as the world's third-richest man and estimated Gates' fortune at $56 billion.Slim said shortly afterward that he wasn't concerned about his ranking or taking over the top spot, but he expressed differences with Buffett, the chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., and Gates, the chairman and co-founder of Microsoft Corp."It's not about having who knows how many bonds, to spend them on whatever one wants or live it up all year," said Slim, an engineer who wears modest suits and whose main indulgence appears to be expensive cigars.

"I don't have apartments abroad. My Thoughts on Jobhunting

This morning while I was rummaging through my personal file, I found my email application for this current job. And I realize this month marks exactly one year of working here. Some of my friends (coursemates in uni and my juniors) are still on the search for jobs now.

One of my close friend asked for my advise, what I said was, don't wait for job advertisements but instead advertise yourself. Go send your resume to companies which you are interested in, don't just sit and wait like the other quarter of a million unemployed graduates in Malaysia. I'm saying this based on my own experience, I sat and wait for job advertisements in the newspapers etc. When there wasn't any which I was interested in or was suitable for someone of my qualification, I would say No luck today. No luck today?? I'm grateful I have changed a lot since that day. If I still depend on luck up until today, I won't be here giving everyone this same advise over and over again.

Then I started to write in and send out resumes to all the related companies I stumbled upon, be it in the newspaper or on the net. And I sent emails etc (like the one I found in my personal file this morning). And guess what I got the job. That was not too bad wasn't it. But then again, maybe luck did play a part, who can argue. But the point is, being proactive is what's important. Now some of the people I gave this advise to are now working and some are even better paid than me. LOLS. Anyhow, I'm happy for them. It gives me a very very happy feeling when some of them call and simply say thank you.

I have a few other advises which I think I'll save for later when I have the time. :)

LOTR Movie Marathon

Watched the LOTR sequels lastnight until midnite and slept at around 1am. Still dizzy from all the focusing, concentration, coffee and all the unhealthy midnite snacks (yummy!). After all the years since the LOTR craze started, this is my 1st time of ever watching!

And I think I'm a fan of Smeagol (unlike most of my friends who adored Legolas!). Smeagol must be a Gemini, judging from the personaliy crisis he's having. I know, cos I'm a Gemini too. Lols. Looking forward to more movies this weekend, if I have nothing else better to do that is :)

VISIT MALAYSIA YEAR 2007!

This is an article by Paul Sir, one of the columnists in our local newspaper. He's one of my fav. I can't help but posting this here. It's about Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and about our duty as Malaysian to make it a success.

ON the mornings that I choose to drive to work, the radio in the car is the best company. Depending on which radio stations you tune in, the music and songs are generally good and we also do have some very lively deejays who are able to handle public discussions well.

These days, besides the usual songs and music and lively banter, one particular radio station is also helping to promote the country as a tourist destination. Hey, 2007 is Visit Malaysia Year, man! Or are we so engrossed in our daily activities that we have forgotten all about it?

The station has been promoting the country via the various tourist attractions state by state. Although VMY is principally aimed at foreign tourists, I believe it could also help to promote domestic tourism.

Tuning in to that particular station one morning, it was Terengganu’s turn to be promoted. I can tell you this. I am not familiar with Terengganu at all. Although I have been to the state several times, it was all work-related trips. So it was kind of spending a day working, a night sleeping in the hotel and the next day travelling back to KL. Sightseeing in the state? No, never really have the chance to do so.

Actually, when the radio hosts started talking about Terengganu and promoting the state’s historical and cultural sights, I did learn a lot of things about this East Coast state. In fact, there are many places and cultures in our own country which we Malaysians are not aware of.

For example, by listening to the radio recently, I learnt that there is a Kapas Island (pictured left) and the LA Hot Spring in the East Coast. I honestly have not heard of them before — until the radio started promoting Malaysia for VMY ‘07.

In case some of us think that Malaysia is a small country with nothing much to offer in domestic tourism, we couldn’t be more wrong.

How many of our fellow citizens in the peninsula have never been to Sabah or Sarawak? In my office alone, I can count at least 10 colleagues who have never made the trip across the South China Sea just to see what the Borneo side of Malaysia is like.

I believe, like many Malaysians who can afford a holiday now and again, Australia, China and Thailand remain their favourite destinations for a vacation. Perhaps, this is due to our mindset that a foreign land is always a better choice than seeing the same things at home, notwithstanding the fact that there is a whole world of historical, cultural and religious differences between East and West Malaysia.

I believe that our tourism people have made a lot of effort in promoting local sights and cultures. Yet domestic tourism ain’t a big deal in our country yet. Perhaps, those in charge should change strategies in attracting Malaysians to spend more of their holidays at home.

So what of VMY ‘07?

For starters, I feel that the tagline ‘Malaysia Truly Asia’ is a good one although some people, as always, will never stop criticising.

Turn on the TV anytime of the day or night and you can hear the nice tagline at the closing of an advert promoting VMY. It is everywhere in fact. At home and abroad, it is displayed on billboards, banners, websites, posters, cabs, newspapers and TV, of course. Even if you forget the picture, the catchy slogan will still ring in your mind.

VMY ‘07 is now into its third month and promotions are in full swing. In case some of you have no idea how serious the government is about VMY ‘07, tourism officials have been preparing for this event for the last three years. This is believed to be Malaysia’s biggest campaign to woo visitors.

Yes, we are also very ambitious as we rightly should be - we hope to target 20.1 million tourists this year and net a total spending of RM44.5 billion. Now, surely the money should come in handy to revitalise a gloomy economy that we are going through at present.

We have to realise one important factor of such an event - it is to everyone’s benefit that we all play our part to ensure the success of this VMY. All Malaysians will benefit, directly or indirectly, if this ambitious event achieves its desired results.

This week and for the first time perhaps, I can understand why Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor is fuming. He lashed out at certain tourism-related associations for claiming that tourist arrivals were slow and that the business environment remained unchanged although it was VMY. Rightly, he called on everyone to put in extra effort to ensure the success of VMY instead of criticising it all the time.

For me, I like to think more positively of VMY. Looking at the huge number of foreign tourists in downtown KL these days, I believe VMY is on track, and the promotional efforts are paying off, although the statistics are not yet available.

I suppose we do have to be patient and continue to play a part to help ensure that the VMY programmes are executed well.

Next month, more than one million tourists are expected to visit the country to catch the Petronas Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix. With the expected influx of F1 fans, Tourism Malaysia is confident of achieving its target of 1.8 million arrivals next month. Now, that sounds promising!

Well, I think I will buy a ticket to see the F1 race next month although I am no fan of motor-racing as I find the noise barely tolerable. I hope that the RM50 seat is still available as it is the only one a lowly-paid writer like me can afford. The RM500 and RM1800 tickets are beyond my budget.

That’s my small way of contributing to the success of Formula 1 in my country as well as the VMY.

My Thoughts on Enemies!

After a few months (or years of blogging if you include the inactive months!) of experience and a few silly blogs which I don't remember the username and passwords, I find it hard to really talk about my private life and at the same time keep things to myself. Afraid that some things I say will hurt the feelings of those who read this. There are some bloggers who are really hmm (cool?) and say whatever they want and have that it's-my-blog-i-can-say-whatever-i-want attitude. I find it really interesting. How can u possibly say a bad thing about people and assume that it's not categorized as back stabbing cos it's virtual.. For me it's still the same thing, No?

But whatever it is, I want to have that kind of attitude as well, it's my blog and i can say whatever i want in here *evil grin* Joke. I'm not evil, at least not THAT evil. I love my friends and my enemies. Yes enemies, they're the ones who keeps me struggling to get to the top. Speaking of enemies, I find we have left all our enemies back in the school days. Oh those days! Hate was just a word and friends come and go. We even hate our friend for having a crush on the same, say Nick Carter? LOLS. Miss those days. Now most of my bestfriends, were once my "enemy". As time pass us by, we just forget (just forget) about the silly fights and at 24 years of age, I finally realize that those fights were silly.

Welcome to the new era, where we never fight but we have enemies nonetheless (more enemies that we can imagine). Back in the early years, one of the typical characteristics of "enemy" is when she didn't and almost never talk to me anymore. Now, enemies are the friends you talk to everyday. They are the ones who knows your secrets, laugh with you and share their stories with you. You never fight but what you do now is you "compete". Compete to be the best, compete to get this, that, be better at someting etc.. Let's look at the brightside, competetion is GOOD, it keeps you moving on and on. But different people have different versions of this so-called "brightside". Sometimes when we win all the time, we will become their enemy (please I'm too old for that) and this time it doens't have anything to do with Nick Carter LOLS. This is a simple thing which life manages to make a little bit more complicated for us human. *sigh* *sigh* Enough about that, hehe you're probably expecting something more profound, this is NOT the place.

However, because of this increasing number of scam programmes available online, it is becoming easier to identify them and avoid falling into their attractive traps!!! The repeated fraud can now be spotted much easier from experts that follow the developments in the field of online products and scams. If you do not want to become an expert for unfortunately being a victim of such scams you must understand how they "charm" people to fall into the wolf's mouth.

For example you cannot trust most programmes out there, especially in the self-help field, for common sense reasons. If someone says you will find info you have never read about is probably a scam..When they say their programme is worth hundreds but they leave it only for few tens, that doesn't sound as a reliable programme. Beyond that, the fact is that most programmes offer the same things over and over again... My thoughts on the importance of being HAPPY

I have met several successful (and some very successful) biz man/woman, entrepreneurs, leaders and achievers who have somehow became my friends and some, my confidante. One thing which they have in common (which I have recently noticed) is that these are all HAPPY people with happy thoughts. I'm not sure whether they are happy because they are successful (and rich), or the other way around ie they are successful because they always think happy thoughts. Is it possible for their happy thoughts to eventually brings in happy outcomes in their lives?

Feng Shui wise, this is because being happy attracts positive chi energy around them which I think must mean LUCK. They laugh their way out of their problems. Not easy to do, I know. As a complainer myself, I &^*&#^@%#%$ and *@#^^@$$! during times of trouble. But I want to become successful (and lucky) like those ppl I mentioned, so I'll try to be a happier me. Hope this will bring more happy outcomes in my life, and hopefully this will attract 6million-positive-energy too if I laugh hard enough.. Huahuahuahua... :P

Sarawak housewife wins RM6 mln jackpot

KUCHING: A housewife from Sarawak recently won the Sports Toto Super 6/49 accumulated jackpot of RM6,098,997.64. In a press release issued yesterday, Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd said she won the first prize drawn on Wednesday, March 14 (Draw No 2812/07).

The first prize-winning numbers drawn were 11, 18, 22, 27, 28 and 45, while the bonus number was 17. According to the press release the woman said the winning numbers she selected for the Toto Super 6/49 were based on her age and the ages of her five children. The housewife said she had been playing the game diligently for the past nine years, and even though their ages changed, she never gave up buying the Toto Super 6/49 numbers based on their ages.

The winner, in her mid-40s, collected her prize money from Sports Toto’s headquarters at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur recently accompanied by her family members. She claimed that as a loyal Sports Toto punter she was a regular winner in Toto’s ‘4D’ games and that just last month she twice won the first prize of Toto 4D.

The press release mentioned that the lucky housewife had no immediate plans on how to spend her winnings, but that her priority was to return to Sarawak “as soon as possible” in order to share the joyful moment with the rest of her family members.

A spokesman for Sports Toto Malaysia confirmed that only one ticket bearing the winning numbers was sold on that particular draw.

My Thoughts on Vitamin B???

I swear I went to bed early lastnite but still, I woke up late this morning. I'm not sure what the cause may be, somebody told me lack of a certain type of vit may be the cause. Which type of vitamin am I lacking owh? If it's Vit. B then I'll have to get used to waking up late for the rest of my life. I will never ever take vit B supplement of any sort ever again. I actually have this little story to tell.

When I had my first job, it got so damn tiring at the end of the day and the pharmacist advised me to take Vit. B supplement, "for energy and all the good stuff". Got it at a cheaper price too, I worked there. And apparently you can measure the weight of these good stuff as well - around 2 to 3 kg and they concentrated at the hip and waist areas. And the pharmacist told me "Owh, did I mention to you that taking vit.B will increase your appetite?". No he did not.

They were no picture taking during those months, I don't want to be reminded of my size. That's my vitamin B story. Haha.

Working on a saturday *sigh*.. And no matter how early I sleep at night, I always wake up late..Hahaha...It's a good thing though, cos it taught me how to take my shower, put on clothes and put on make-up and get ready in no time (Men like women like us don't they?). Lols.

But anyways rushing as I may seem, I always make sure I look pretty for the whole world to see. And a little of that "i-woke-up-at-6am" look is always the hardest part to do when you actually woke up at 8.30am and the last thing u kissed was the soft cottony pillow which smells like the sweetest dream. *sigh* (again)

But hey here I am looking like I'm bz typing an important document. Lots and lots of coffee will fix this. C ya.

Funny friend from Kudat made me realize this today: not everyone know the meaning of xoxo which we usually use at the end of a letter (or email). So I'd like to share this with everyone. For your reading pleasure :)

Hugs and Kisses - From Wikipedia

Hugs and Kisses is a term for a sequence of the letters X and O, e.g. XOXO, typically used to express affection or good friendship at the end of a written letter or email.

It is debatable which letter represents which act. Some interpret X as the crossed arms of a hug and O as the puckered lips of a kiss. However, the interpretation assumed in the following, in which X represents the four lips of a kiss and O the four arms of a hug, is more common.

The use of XOXO goes back to the use of an X or cross, which was considered as good as a sworn oath in times before most people could write and therefore used the X in the same way a signature is used today â€” a mark of one's word.

An X at the end of a letter or document was often kissed as a seal of honesty, in much the same way one would kiss a Bible or kiss the fingers after making the sign of the Christian cross, thus the X came to represent a kiss in modern times.

The origins of the O as a hug are not generally known, although it is speculated that it may represent the arms wrapped around someone being hugged. Another thought is that it came from Jewish immigrants who would sign with an O instead of an X because they did not wish to mark their word with the Christian cross the X represented.

Hope things will be better this year. The end of 2006 was sad and gloomy. Attended too many funerals and the weather was oh so wet.I did not pass my first interview *sigh*. Oh heck, it's not like I wanted the job so much, anyways (what the rejects always say lols).

Hopefully will get the next one, although I'm not sure when "the next one" will be. Hope hope hope that's all I have. 2007 : The Year Of Hopes and Promises.
